Good Friday, April 10th, 2009

Good Morning my BEST Friends!

I spent yesterday staying very busy all day. I walked in the morning, went to Curves, then I moved furniture in our bedroom that hadn't been moved in a few years and cleaned under and behind all of that. I have two more pieces to move and clean under today, so lots more movement for me. But my big result from all of that.... I dropped 2 pounds yesterday. Now, I know that will sneak back up and down over the next few weeks, but hopefully I can get it to stay off.
DH and I have been eating our big meal of the day, at lunchtime, and I think that really helps. I know this doesn't work for everyones schedules, but for us, it's working great.

So..Today...We're going to the riverwalk this morning for our walk. Then I'll go to Curves this afternoon for my 3rd time this week. And I'm going to finish the bedroom. I've also got a lot of yard work waiting on me, so if I get done inside, I'll start outside. The last of the snow from last weekend melted off yesterday (I think it's all gone now).

Have a BEST OP day everyone!

Re: Good Friday, April 10th, 2009

...and I am hoping for a really GOOD Friday, at that!

I switched the time I took my Nexium and phenergan yesterday and took them during the afternoon lull in my . Though I still lost much of my dinner, it didn't continue through the night, and this morning things are a lot calmer. I have had a couple of gagging incidents and thought, here we go again, but so far, so good. Hopefully the meds are beginning to saturate my system and help put an end to this hysteria.

Nancy, I have heard of BRATS waaaaay back when DD15 had a lot of regurgitation as an infant and her pediatrician suggested I follow that. I think I'll have a go at it myself. Thanks for reminding me of it, as chicken broth isn't staying with me very well.

For breakfast, I had 1/2 a toasted English muffin (whole wheat) with a little Promise margarine spread and 1/2 a banana. I fixed a cup of mint tea, which tastes very good and have been sipping it while I watch the morning news.

The rest of the day isn't planned and will depend on how well I do with breakfast.

I am skipping Good Friday services, and I am not sure if I'll make Easter services either. I'll just be playing everything by ear.

Hi Nancy, Bonnie and Margo

Nancy...good job on the loss of 2 lbs...here's hoping it stays off for you

bonnie...you poor thing. I can't believe how long you've been dealing with that

Margo..fiber poptart? Haven't noticed those. i'll look next time

I'm feeling WAY puffy and DH is so excited we have "smoked" a ham for Easter so I'll be bigtime blown up by my Monday weigh in. We're still waiting for a contract here where I work so a strike could be called at any time. don't want that

Take care everyone and a wonderful Easter to everyone who celebrates

Re: Good Friday, April 10th, 2009

Good afternoon everyone...made it on earlier than yesterday!

So far today: WW Yogurt and a mini bagel. Waiting to hear from DD if she wants to eat lunch together, but since she is not answering I'll assume I need to go ahead and eat! Will go for a WW meal with veggies.

Nancy - glad you had such a good loss!
Bonnie-hope this stomach issue gets done with quickly.
Margo-sounds like you've got a busy day!
Nanno-I can feel with you - I'm also puffy and ham is not going to help...but will indulge anyway!

I did weigh on my scale - yesterday it showed up 2 pounds and today it's down 4...so maybe the extra swelling is going down some now.
Off and hopping!
Ali

I have to read yesterdays posts and catch up. Here's wishing all of you a wonderful weekend. May the Easter Bunny bring you all lots of instead of any .

Bonnie - here's hoping your stomach is on the mend. When do you go to the GI guy?
