Uterus connected to my taste buds!

I am 42 years old. For 42 years, I have despised Ice Cream. To the point that the thought of it made me nauseous.

Post Op and I can't get enough of it!

Anyone else notice a marked change in taste?

Absolutely. Ever since op I can't stand the smell of chocolate and have gone right off tea. Not good for a total tea addict!

I was a Mountain Dew addict and had been for years. Now it makes me sick to even think about drinking it. There was alot of food I liked and then hated post op. Some of them I starting liking again after a couple of months. Hormones do some crazy things!

I cant get enough pudding and chocolate. I used to be able to walk past candy. I would bring it in to the office for everyone else to eat and I would just not want it.

I am also craving buffalo wings! I still haven't had them and I can't say that it will go well when I do.

not me...i still love all the bad stuff i loved before.......

wish i suddenly lost my taste for sweets!

I miraculously stopped smoking too! This hysterectomy thing is not so bad!

I can not eat greasy foods like I used to. I HAVE to incorporate my fresh veggies bc my body doesn't function like it used to. If I eat things like fries anymore it is totally in moderation and not very often.

My taste buds have changed too! I cant drink soda anymore. One drink of it and it makes me so sick to my stomach. I couldnt drink apple juice before surgery and now i drink it every morning. I have now lost 10 pounds since surgery and I think it is because I cant drink soda anymore.

Ugh! I am not alone. I couldn't figure it out!

My taste buds haven't changed, but I have become lactose intolerant.
Which is bad because I really love cheese. :0(
