4 hours into bowel prep with Golytely

I am having surgery tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am.. I have drank a little over 3 liters..and I have only yellow (like pee color) coming out . Is that good enough?
I feel like if I drink another glass I will explode..

Re: 4 hours into bowel prep with Golytely

I had to drink magnesium citrate, 2 bottles. The dr said that when I finish the prep it would come out clear. The bowel can't be distended, or they could nick the bowel and all kinds of probs. Also, I bet you should not drink after midnight. Are you on a liquid diet? I was and it helps prepare your intestines and stomach for the trauma.

I know I am only two weeks in. I had to get up at 4 and travel to hosp. Don't worry, you'll make it. Just empty those bowels. Not sure how much to drink. I didn't do that stuff. I pray for speedy recovery. And, God be with you there during surgery. It will be fine. Hang in there sis.

I had a hard time with the gallon of Golytely too. I hope that things worked out well for you and you managed to get some rest

Best wishes with your surgery.
