Almost one year Post op

Hello Sisters

I admit to being absent from the boards for a long time. The reason? Everything is going well.

I had a a fairly easy recovery and have been enjoying a life without pain...and the best part.. without a period.

I am on premarin .9 for replacement.

I guess I just wanted to stop by and let the sisters who are suffering something awful, that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Be well.... Be safe... and most importantly, BE HAPPY

Julie

Re: Almost one year Post op

Thanks for posting a positive message Julie. It's nice to hear. Glad that you're doing so well. I too have had a pretty easy time with my surgery. I'm just figuring out which dosage I need for HRT but I'm starting to feel better with that. Glad to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel!! Hope you continue to do well.

Re: Almost one year Post op

Julie, I am also at the one year date! Well, I will be next Thursday. I haven't been around much either. I think if things are going well we don't post as much. But it is good to let others know that things are not always negative with this surgery and to hang in there! Glad you are doing well.

Re: Almost one year Post op

I am also a year post op. It took almost the whole year to feel better but I think I am finally on my way. Figuring out the right HRT has been a bit of a nightmare but so much better. I am still fatigued but that too is improving. If it wasn't for all the angels on on this site to help me through it I don't know what I would have done. Bless you all.

Re: Almost one year Post op

Today is my one year anniversary for my TAH, rectocele repair surgery. I had a rough start with getting the HRT right but I'm now doing wonderful with Enjuvia 1.29. In the past year, I've become a grandmother TWICE. I managed to take 6 credit hours in the fall and 10 hours this spring so any fatigue that I have I'm sure is due to that. I also had the TVT October 30 so I'm 7 months out with that surgery and doing great. For all you out there just beginning your journey, hang in there! There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Rock sisters!!!it has been 3 yrs!!!I made 45 last month........although the loss was significant...........at least the last two have been truly bliss...of course there is the down side...fighting dryness, keeping the weight down...and well some things drop.........but everyday........there is no pain............now that is priceless

Re: Almost one year Post op

I wasn't sure if weight gain was a part of menopause. I am fighting that as well, but I'm working on taking off the weight
