Side Effects of ERT

Im new here and wondering if others have struggled with terrible side effects from taking ERT? Iv tried many varieties and have joint pain, mental confusion, edema, dizziness, and nausea from them. Im young and concerned about no ERT? Im currently not taking any ERT and a bit lost.

Re: Side Effects of ERT

Yes, unfortuantely. That's why so many of us are still struggling through the jungle so far past the hysterectomy.

How are you feeling without the HRT?

I understand your concerns with your age, but I would suggest you talk to your doctor and figure this out together, making sure you keep your adrenal glands healthy so that will help some.

Re: Side Effects of ERT

No HRT is somewhat better for me, however, I have some bone density loss so Im really trying to get some estrogen on board. Im trying estradiol, started 2 days ago. Get dizzy, but so far thats tolerable. Interesting about the adrenal glands---Im not sure how to keep them healthy, and I think Iv just learned their part of our natural cortisone production which could help some of my pain? If I could tolerate an estrogen.

Re: Side Effects of ERT

I have been searching for posts about this. After one year of feeling GREAT with my Climera patch, suddenly, I got TERRIBLY dizzy. WHY don't doctors ask if this could be the problem? I figured it out on my own after being very ill for almost three months with terrible loss of balance. I am much better after stopping my patch on week ago. I hope to keep improving. It seems so odd after a great year with the patch.
