What kinds/amounts of resistance training are ok at this point?

I had LSH 4-15 and am probably progressing right on or ahead of schedule.

I've resumed everything but heavy lifting and intercourse (still forbidden by my Dr.). Only problem is I feel good enough to get back in the gym and start moving some iron around. What kinds/amounts of resistance training are ok at this point?

Have you asked your doctor about this? As you still have some restrictions, your doctor may have a specific regime you should follow until you are completely healed!

Take care!

Re: What kinds/amounts of resistance training are ok at this point?

I had a SAH and I was allowed to start using my 10 lb. weights after my 6 week check...but she didn't want me to do any abdominal machines for 6 months. Check with your doctor to see what he/she will let you do. I was allowed to do everything after 6 weeks but my abs for 6months..hope that helps!!! Heal fast!!! I want to add...you will have to start back very slowly...I had a heck of a time. This surgery takes it's toll on you.

Re: What kinds/amounts of resistance training are ok at this point?

I had a LSH. The only exercise I was allowed to do for 6 weeks was walk.
