Lupron Shot- Timing of Shot?

I had my 1st Lupron Shot on April 22nd. Yea- It finally kciked in & my period has stopped!

Now- My GYNO didnt say exactly when the next shot should be. I have a call in to her. But last time it took her 5 days to call back. She asked me to set up the shot 1 week in advance.

I know it needs to be 28-30 days after the 1st shot.
Do you count the day of your shot as your 1st day? Or the next day as your 1st day?

And is it fine to have the 2nd shot on the 28, 29 or 30th?

Or if my Normal Cycle is usually 26 days. Should I get my shot 28 days after my 1st shot?

I hope that Makes Sense.
TIA,
Spamee

I was on Lupron shots for 6mths in 1992. The dr.'s office just gave me an appt. when it was time for the next one. I hope you do good with the shots. It was the worst 6 mths of my life. I'll take an hyst. any day. You have HRT with a hyst. not with Lupron. I was so mean one day and I went to see my gyn/ob and he said you want to slap me don't you. He told me to go ahead and I raised my hand and then he said but you'll need me one day in the delivery room. HA! HA! I have a great doctor.

Good Luck!

Re: Lupron Shot- Timing of Shot?

Thanks Lilybird.
So far- The SE are ok- I do feel much older-joints, etc. Crabby & Emotional.
I just hope the next shot does not make things worse.
I am thinking about having a DaVinci in Late July.

I can not use HRT though as I had breast cancer last year.

I am taking DIM- which is supposed to help the Hot Flashes.
