Bleeding 5 years after hyst.

Hi everyone. I am Jessica. I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago. Complete nothing left. A few months ago I visited gyno because had some spotting after intercourse, she said she didnt see anything. Had my pap couple months ago was normal. Then today I had intercourse with husband and went to bathroom and was quite a bit of bright red blood, like period . Stopped after about an hour and had some stomach cramping, then now few hours later happened again after a bowel movement, not as much as before. I see nurse practioner tomorrow, but am nervous they will once again tell me they dont see anything and send me on my way. I dont see how that is something that can be normal.
Has this happened to anyone, or any ideas why its happening?

Thanks
Jessica

Re: Bleeding 5 years after hyst.

I understand the fear of having no answers. However, I do believe that something shall now be detected in your exam......given the amount of bleeding you are now describing, which is quite a change from spotting.

I've not had your experience, but hope that someone who has, shall come along soon and help allay your fears.

In the meantime, I shall pray the time flies and you get your answers and resolution soon..............s.....Deb

Re: Bleeding 5 years after hyst.

Thank you. It is very scary. I thought when I had the hysto 5 years ago I wouldn't ever have to deal with female issues again , so much for that. Thanks again.

Re: Bleeding 5 years after hyst.

Even though I've not had your experience (Am not sexually active.....), have heard that postmenopausal dryness of the vagina can cause such problems.

I hope someone who's experienced your situation will be along soon to help you have more peace of mind....s....Deb

Re: Bleeding 5 years after hyst.

The previous spotting episode dr asked me to try using lubrication , even though I hadn't been having dry issues, anyways have beenusing lubrication since so not sure it could be that. I just dont know at this point. Just got me all worried.

Re: Bleeding 5 years after hyst.

I just responded on another post in regards to bleeding. I had my abdominal supracervical hyster March 24th and I've started spotting and mostly bleeding after bowel movement. My doctor also told me to monitor the bleeding, it never lasts long after the bowel movement but long enough that I have to put on a pad or panty liner until it stops. I'm wonder if this will be a normal pattern after every bowel movement I have. Dr. cleared me to work and everything but I'm single so haven't had the problem with bleeding or spotting after sex. But I'm concerned about when it does happen if I will bleed. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow to tell him about the bleeding after bowel movements. I'm know how you feel I'm worried and starting to get really frustrated because I thought after my surgery I wouldn't have this problem. I did keep my cervix and ovaries.
