How does a person get rid of the smelly odour that comes a few weeks after surgery?

Re: Smelly Odour

Mine is from a bacterial infection. Have you seen your dr to see if yours could be the same or from another cause?? Definitely let him know!! Take care...don't use anything without permission=)

Re: Smelly Odour

Right. You will want to get checked out by your doctor in case you have an infection. It could be stitches dissolving as well but, best to check with your doctor. If there is no infection, it just takes time.

Re: Smelly Odour

My OBGYN told me that the odor was NORMAL after having your surgery.....
I have had the same problem... like it was rough at first.... I had an LSH on 3-6-09 and trachelectomy on 5-13-09.. especially after the trache it was awful.... like hold your nose awful...... so out of concern I called my doctor and he said it was normal and should get better in another week or two... So I am today 2 wks post op from my trache and IT IS BETTER..... So I would give it another week if not better by then definitely let your doctor know about it incase it may be an infection or something else.....
