I'm a pms mess

55 yrs. old. Period until last month. Perimenopausal for yrs.
Recently dx with 6 fibroids and possible polyp. Biopsy this week. I feel like I have constant pms. Specific question: I get so bloated, look like I am pg. Cry at anything. honkerblonky, irritable. TIRED! Will be scheduling for hyst. hope to keep an ovary. Will this bloating stop? Am I going to feel better?

Re: I'm a pms mess

I am asking the same question bluegotn and it seems after this surgery even during recovery it seems most sisters feel better than they have in years.

I have been sleeping off and on every weekend and basically do not live anymore because of these guests in my uterus.

Welcome to the pms club!

Re: I'm a pms mess

For me, that bloating feeling is gone. My guess is it went with uterus. I had fibroids and a polyp in my uterus and a dermoid cyst on my right ovary (which was removed as well). I had my TAH on March 17 and I can honestly say that I have been feeling better than I have in a long time. I haven't been able to determine whether or not I have any pms symptoms anymore so I'm guessing in that case it can't be bad.

Re: I'm a pms mess

Oh Nap! I have found a hyster sister! And hey, I have one of those cysts on My r. ovart too. May I ask your age, if you have an ovary left or hrt? Were you done with your periods when you had surgery? I do think this is what I should do and all the friends I've talked that have had one feel better (though a lot of these posts look **** scary post-op). Also, I have a dog that looks sort of like yours, he is a lab/pitbull mix.

Thanks. It is so nice to feel this comradeship (now I'll probably cry over that!) I just want ME back, control of my bod. Some energy!

Re: I'm a pms mess

Hi bluegotn

All I know now is one fibroid was 7cm last year and I have a few smaller ones. I do not know what else is going on until she gets in there which makes me nervous. I do have sharp pains on my right side so it would not surprise me that something else is happening too. I also hope to keep one ovary at least. I just turned 41.

He is a seven month old 65 pound bulldog mix with possibly a pointer breed (we saw him point a few times) ??? We adopted him last november..

Re: I'm a pms mess

I have a biopsy scheduled this week. Did you have one of those? My doc also said she would have to look at ovearies once she got in there.
