Removal of Scar Tissue on Vaginal Cuff

I had a three month follow-up appt with the surgeon today (total abdominal hysterectomy with mid-line incision) and had scar tissue removed in the office. Something called "mo cells" was used. When I got home, there was a lot of bleeding and brown discharge. Has anyone else had this?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Removal of Scar Tissue on Vaginal Cuff

I had tissue removed on the cuff and a silver nitrate treatment and there was discharge and discomfort for a few days. The doctor called mine granulation. I am not familiar with "mo cells". I wonder if both problems are the same?

Hope you feel better soon.

Re: Removal of Scar Tissue on Vaginal Cuff

From reading posts here I understand there is some other substance besides silver nitrate that can be used to remove scar tissue. Perhaps that's what you had?

Anyway, lots of sisters report the granulation/scar tissue. Some find the treatment quite uncomfortable, whereas others don't find it bad at all. Why don't you do a search for "silver nitrate" or "granulation" or "scar tissue." I think you'll see some threads that should address your concerns.
