Swollen lymph glands and feeling of pressure on left side

Hi,
I haven't posted to this particular forum before but I have an appt coming up with my doctor next week (annual) and wondered if what I'm experiencing is possibly related to a gyn problem.

My SAH was 9/8/08. In the last month or so I've had a lot of breast pain and hormonal craziness but more weird to me is the swelling of the lymph nodes on the left side (inguinal) plus even as I walk I can feel it as a kind of pressure or growth. This is different from the throbbing pain I had before surgery (then it was a 13 cm fibroid pressing on the blood vessels).

Since I no longer have a uterus (but do have ovaries) is it at all possible this is something gynecological? The breast pain is also on the left side but I imagine this is just hormonal stuff.

Any thoughts??? Thanks.

If your lymph nodes are swollen, perhaps you are fighting an infection. I would call your doctor to see what they think.

Re: Swollen lymph glands and feeling of pressure on left side

I think that I understand what you are saying. I had a partial hysterectomy, uterus, and have been having some pretty severe complications.

I too have pain in the groin area. Sometimes, I think that I have a bladder infection. The lymph nodes in both groin areas swell and is quite painful.

Additionally, since my hyster I have had 10 breast needle aspirations for mastopathy cysts in both breasts. I keep getting breast cysts even though they keek draining them. I need to have one more aspiration.

I just turned 48. It really is not pleasant to have complications after a hysterectomy. I have gone on to VAIN II surgery, and two laser and ablation surgeries for VIN III. It's no walk in the park, and that's why we are here.

Take care and let us know how you are doing.

I'm still on meds from my VIN III surgery on June 17, ouch.
