Pre op visit

Did my pre-op this AM. I was scheduled for 7AM and left at 8:30 AM. I had blood work and an EKG, no chest x-ray. I answered lots of medical questions and had a very nice nurse working with me. I pulled my suitcase out last night and started putting some things in it. I'm ready to have this surgery NOW!

Re: Positive Pre-op

Glad to hear it went good Sandy! And that you are all set. It will be a long week to wait. But will be here before you know it!
I put in a call to my Drs Nurse today to check on exactly what I need at my Pre op. (xray-ekg) Dont want to miss anything that may delay my surgery.

It's so cool to see a couple of da Vinci gals. I see you both refer to an RALH. Are you keeping your cervix and having everything removed laparoscopically? Mine was referred to as a robotic-assisted Vaginal hyst...and the doctor confirmed he was able to dissect my large fibroid and remove everything (uterus, cervix, fibroid halves) vaginally.

I'm amazed at how well recovery has gone. I'm a bit tired, somewhat achy, but I've only used ibuprofen since coming home (no narcotics)...I don't even feel I need that but as the doctor prescribed it, I will continue to take it at least until my post-op appt tomorrow morning.

Have a wonderful day, ladies!
