My taking calcium supplements gave me kidney stones

I have never had a kidney stone in my life. After my surgery I started taking cacium supplements and BOOM, 6 months later a kidney stone. Of course my doctor won't say that is what caused them because that would mean it might have been their fault-but I know in my heart that they caused it. I have heard from other people here that had the same thing happen to them, so just a little heads up from me, please ask your doctor about this before you just start taking calcium, Keri

I started taking calcium with vitamin d supplement more than a year ago, due to age and possible bone loss. But have not had any side affects. Hope you recover well.
