Smelly discharge help here

Ok, for all of us freaking out over the unGodly smell emanating from our vaginal area....I WENT TO THE DOCTOR TODAY AND HERE IS WHAT HE SAID. It is not out of the ordinary to get a little infection due to the blood and the messing around in the vagina during surgery. He put me on Flagyl and a diflucan for 7 days. So, it is not normal to stink like a fish. Some smell is expected, but not what we have been describing. I even got sore in that area. I had a pelvic and a speculum exam. he said that it is Not coming from my bladder (leakage) as I worried. The exam did not hurt at all. Actually compared to my last pelvic (pre surgery) it was great. He said I am healing well (vaginal cuff). What a relief to hear these things. I asked him about bladder leakage and he said several things lead to that, one being delivering that way (I did not) and he told me my pelvic floor was good. I work there and they are pressuring me to come back at 4 weeks (next week) and I said I would be back at 6 weeks. GREAT VISIT.

i had bacterial infections after my surgery (and yeast). its very common. at first i tried over the counter monostat and a ph corrector and ended up really screwing myself up. i had to go on diflucan for 6 months and was on flagyl and used metrogel numerous times for bacteria. if you even feel soreness or have that odor again, let your dr know right away. i really had to stay on top of that for quite awhile.
