sore burny mouth, migraines, poor appetite, libido flux
Hi! I am going nuts here. I had a partial hyst in 2000 at age 37 due to complicated pregnancy that nearly killed me. skip to now, 9 yrs later, In dec i had heart palps, skipped beats 24 hours a day, then that stopped and my mouth started feeling sore on t he bottom of my mouth and burning, sometimes my lips burn too. It is better but my mouth either feels sore or burns by mid day all the time. I do not have full blown hot flashes although sometimes i get a little warm. I have had a few about 2 yrs ago. I think thats what it was as i had to stand on the back porch with my clothes off when it was 20 degrees! Then they stopped.
Then my libido went crazy as in I either wanted to rape my hubby or spit on him....one or the other. I even wanted to go get some strange even though I dont and havent done that. I would have high libido days FULL of some weird nervous energy and be wired / tired at the same time and suffer from insomnia too.
Then i will flip and be exhausted and low libido and sad and fell like my life is over.
The migraines started 5 weeks ago, usually every monday whether i am in high or low gear. Gets me right in one or both of my eyes. I have severe dry eyes (and dry mouth)that i use drops for. I use biotene toothpaste.
My genitals seemed to have trouble engorging and sometimes i cant climax, which has never happened til now.
I am not on prozac anymore on my gyn thinks this is hormonal.
He gave me estrodiol that i havent taken as i am afraid of the heart/stroke risks. I do use progesterine cream now for a few days that i just started. Is anyone using estrdiol and does it help?
The sore burny mouth bothers me alot, how common is this?
PS I am 5'6 and weigh 138, I lost 15 lbs since Feb due to stress and just generally feeling crazy. I do smoke.
thank you for any help!

Re: sore burny mouth, migraines, poor appetite, libido flux
Hi there and to HysterSisters
Some of the symptoms you're describing sound very familiar. Especially where the inability to climax is concerned: I have no problem with dryness, just a problem getting and staying aroused.
I also have the mood swings and the insomnia, which always was an issue for, is intolerable.
I hear you where the heart issues and HRT are concerned: I have high blood pressure and my GP has refused to prescribe HRT due to the risks. This is frustrating as I am convinced that menopause is the culprit as I actually had LOW blood pressure until a few years ago.
It does sound as though you have several issues going on and it's a good thing that you are consulting your doctor.
I do not use HRT, so can't help you in this area. One thing I would like to suggest is keeping a journal of your symptoms: doing this has helped both my doctor and myself identify patterns, cycles and possible triggers.
Best of luck in finding answers soon
