Painful intercourse at 8 months post-op

Hello-- : ) I had my surgery in November, kept ovaries. So, when we finally had sex for the first time, it was great. BUT the first initial thrust (for lack of better word) hurt way inside. I figured it was just because it was first time, have to get used to it, etc. Well, now after nearly 8 mos, still have that pain, just at first and then all is good. Is that normal, should I say something to my dr? Thanks

Re: Sex Is Different

Does it hurt at the cuff or at the opening to the vagina?

Re: Painful intercourse at 8 months post-op

Pain during intercourse is not normal. Maybe you need to slow down a bit and build up to full depth penetration then thrust. Maybe more lubrication. I would think if that doesn't correct the problem you should speak with your doctor and be examined. You may have some granulation tissue that can be readily treated.
Good luck with a quick remedy
