hard lower abdomen

I can feel a much harder area in my lower pelvic region....does that sound like it would be endo? It's right where my bladder/uterus is...i am a little squishier to the left and squishier to the right but right there dead center for about 2-3 inches it is hard as a rock and can be felt just by applying a little pressure. It hurts when it pushes so I don't do it often... But I really noticed it all this weekend whenever the doctors at the hospital would do their exams...

anyone else have something similar?

Re: hard lower abdomen

I dealt with endo for many years. I never felt "hard" or mass-like though.

Re: hard lower abdomen

maybe it's the area where the fibroid is growing...each time i've had an ultrasound thats where they seem to see it. We are a complicated bunch - us women, aren't we!?

Re: hard lower abdomen

I had something that felt similiar to what you are describing. Mine felt like a small lump in that area. I just had a lapro done and the lump was scar tissue. However, I've had numerous surgeries including total hysterecomty which contributed to this. The scar tissue had endo implanted in it. It was curled up like a ball. The doctor said he'd never seen anything like it before. I don't know if scar tissues and adhesions are what you have but that was my problem. It might be something to research!

Re: hard lower abdomen

well i definitely have a lot of scar tissue from a previous surgery. It goes from my pelvic area to about 2 inches above my belly button. The reason the doc didn't want to do the laparoscopy was due to the complications that could potentially come up. Once I heard the possibility of a perforated bowel, I would have to say I agree with him. So it could be scar tissue...I'd be curious to hear what he says after he removes everything.
