Chin breakout!

My chin broke out and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions to get it under control. I am 61 and never have experienced anything like this before. Even as a teenager, I only had that one monthly pimple to let me know Aunt Flo was on her way.

Re: Chin breakout!

Have you talked with your dr? I didn't have a breakout but my skin and hair went through some changes after my tah/bso. It turned out to be a hormonal imbalance. It got better after we found the right dosage of hrt for me. I'm still taking it but a smaller dosage now and doing well.

Re: Chin breakout!

I have just had a daVinci hysterectomy 9-30 and on the 4th day I developed a rash on my neck ears and shoulders. I was looking around at how to ask a question and this is probably not the right way but when iI read your post about skin and hair issues being a hormone embalance I thought I would just give it a try and ask. I am suppose to go to the dr tomorrow but I was just hoping to find someone who might have had something like this happen to them .
I am sorry if I posted in the wrong place I couldn't find where to go.
Thanks
Kathy

Re: Chin breakout!

Sorry, but I just saw your post. My chin is getting better. I have been trying to keep it clean and using moisturizer. Did you find out anything from your doctor? Is is hormone related?

Re: Chin breakout!

Thank you so much for getting back with me I have just now got the email. I am not very computer smart so I don't surf the web too often because i usually sink when I do LOL Anyway my doc seems to think it is a reaction to the pain meds but he did start me on a hormone patch to hopefully help with my restless legs problem I have been having. I can't seem to fall asleep at night because I am constantly flooping like a fish out of water. So that is when I would take my pain meds to try to put my legs out. I guess it is just part of it but I hope it get worked out soon I am not taking pain meds any more just Benedrel (sorry for my spelling)
Thanks Again
Kathy

Re: Chin breakout!

I had a horrible hormone break out after 6 weeks of my TAH/BSO. I started on HRT and it still went from bad to worse, I did settle into a trial pill dose and it soon went a way...If I forgot a day or two it came back. I had my dr tell me it was an allergy and got some blue and white tube stuff from the and it goes away after 2-5 days. Two years later I am using a topical gel HRT and it took 6 months to get my dose straight. I found even if I do excerise in a day I need to add more gel that night.. I have my HRT doses that close. During the dose trial times and at times even now I get a red dot break out all over my face if I miss a day of HRT gel or add some progesterone cream. So weird..Even 2.5 years later I am still trying to get it right! Everyone is different.. GOOD LUCK with your break out.
