Memory loss 9mths post TAH

Hi, I haven't posted for a while and thought I had got my hormone problems sorted.... silly me!!!

I reduced my oestrogel to 3 pumps each morning because 4 pumps was causing nausea and breast pain. Unfortunately, my memory seems to be affected by the reduced dose. It isn't just me who has noticed (unfortunately) as my work colleagues and family have commented.

I recently did an online memory test and though I answered most questions, I got a few wrong - including four creatures beginning with S!!!! I also couldn't subtract and add correctly (1 digit wrong so I doubt I would get an Alzheimer's ... but still, quite worrying).

Just wondered if any of you out there had experienced similar problems ?

Re: Memory loss 9mths post TAH

Hi

If nausea and breast pain were your only symptoms, maybe you just needed a little progesterone. Did you try that? I know that I am on the lowest level of estrogen that I can be on without having serious memory issues, yet I still get those occassional sore breasts and/or nausea.

A little progesterone cream rubbed into the breast tissue really does make a difference, and a little ginger or peppermint tea takes care of the nausea.

No, I'm not on progesterone but will certainly consider that.

Thanks Kay
