"I feel crazy...oh so crazy"

I had my surgery about a month ago (to take out right ovary and untwist intestines via da vinci). Now that I have no ovaries left and am on the patch I feel like a basket case! My husband (bless him) doesn't understand at all! Plus I (probably) went back to work too early and now am super tired and am sick. Dr did bloodwork today to make sure I didn't have infection from surgery but didn't even do bloodwork to check estrogen levels! He isn't the one who did the surgery I went back to the dr who did the hyst for that...Sorry to ramble and vent and I know it takes a while to get everything in balance, but how do you stay sane in the mean time?

Re: "I feel crazy...oh so crazy"

I found that I was tired for months after my surgery and it took almost a year to completely heal inside. I started exercise like walking several times a week, calcium and vitamins, and a real diet change into healthy fruits, veggies, and lean chicken, turkey, fish, etc., not packaged foods or junk foods, like cookies and chips.
I believe the body changes after the surgery and we have to change our habits. Exercise believe it or not helped with sleep and moods and it doesn't have to be much.

Hormones that are taken will take a couple of months to really be absorbed and to work fully.

Hang in there. it does get better with time and some changes.

Re: "I feel crazy...oh so crazy"

Oh, sweetie, I so understand how you feel--I was sure I was going to lose my marriage, my job, and my sanity. All I can say is that sometimes it takes an awful lot of effort and time before you feel "normal" again; I went to several different doctors before I found the one who fixed me--it took almost 3 years, but I can say that I finally feel well and balanced. Don't give up! Keep posting here and asking questions, use everything available to you on hystersisters, and remember that we have all been in the Hormone Jungle--and the name is appropriate, believe me!
