lapro hyst/ leaking fluid

hi - your story is so familiar to me. i am 4 weeks post op lapro hysterectomy. aroudn the 3rd week, i started leaking so much. now, i have a catheter which i leak around and they are doing a bunch of tests. the urologists said maybe if i wear the catheter the "tear" can heal itself...but i have heard that this is rare. i don't know what is ahead, but i feel that no one gives me any quick answers and it is frustrating. plus...i have misssed so much work. do i go to work with a catheter and smelling like pee!!!! sorry to be so direct, but i am just so frustrated and confused! thanks for listening, tracie

mine did close up on its own. i was also leaking around the catheter for the first few days but i started taking something to stop the bladder spasms, think it was called ditro-pan, not sure now. i know i had the catheter for at least 4 weeks and it did work for me. makes allmost 3 years now and i have been completely leak free so it can be done.
