Re: Help me please I am in so much pain

Thanks everyone for helping me through this! I just got home from the ER. They have my pain under control, and gave me medication for the nausea, which is helping alot. I was pretty dehydrated so they gave me IV fluids. My infection is getting better and just have to wait out the seroma. I think with the rights medications I just might make it now. Why is it so hard to get some physicians to listen to you? I think so much gets lost in communication when you are trying to deal with everything over the phone. I just have to go back if the pain is out of control again or I start vomiting again. Thanks for being there for me and listening and comforting me!

Annie!!!

So glad you are back from the ER!! I'm so glad you went (I am sure you are too!!). See, you needed the IV fluids and something for the nausea and pain. Now you can rest and let the meds do their job!!

I'm happy you're home and can hopefully start your journey of recovering!!!

Re: Help me please I am in so much pain

I hope you get answers at the hosp. Just a thought - I think when taking flagyl you have to be careful not to ingest or use any product (shampoos, etc) with alcohol in it or can lead to nausea and vomiting. I took it for an infection years ago. Pain meds can also cause stomach issues. Please know these are just from my expreience and not medical advice! I hope you are feeling better.

Re: Help me please I am in so much pain

Annie,

I'm glad you went to ER and are a bit better. I was on flagyl as well, first in the hospital and then a couple of weeks later after a hematoma was drained. I'm not entirely sure...something was causing major stomach distress...but I think it was the flagyl. I started feeling better about three days after I stopped the flagyl. It's a pretty potent drug.

Keep healing,

Jeanne

Re: Help me please I am in so much pain

I think that the flagyl really exacerbated all of my other symptoms. Everything got so much worse once I went on it. I am glad my white count is going down, and that I got medication for the vomiting. I am so glad that I found this forum! It's very comforting to know there are so many women who understand and are backing each other. I am comfortable tonight. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but I do know if I experience pain like that again, I will not try to be so "tough" or care so much about making a fool of myself! Thanks again to all
