How soon after surgery do menopause symptoms start?

I'm healing up nicely after my da vinci tah/bso. It's all been great so far. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. How soon after surgery did everyone else's symptoms start? I was on patches, then pills and est. shots for about 8 years before my surgery. When I used to run out of estrogen I became nearly catatonic. Hasn't happened yet and I'm two weeks out of surgery.

Lucky for you that it hasn't happened yet.
I already was having hot flashes and some nightsweating in the years before surgery, and on the second day after surgery I really really started having them. I'm 6 weeks post op now and I am experiencing all the 'fun' things of low estrogen-levels!!! I'm trying to find my way now in this hormonal jungle.... This site really helps and gives lots of information.
