well i'm no stranger to endo..

i have been having horriable back pain for the last few months.. this month was extreamly BAD! always on my right side?? and it radiates down my legs??? i had a lap done last year where they found endo and adheshions..could this be due to endo or more of a back problem??

Re: severe back pain??

((coffeelover))

I am sorry you are having issues again!

I would suggest you start keeping a symptom diary, being as specific as you can be. This could help you and your doctors determine whether or not the problem is endo and/or adhesions, back problems, or something else entirely (kidney problems can cause back issues for instance).

Try not to panic! I know, easier said than done!

in there!

Re: severe back pain??

I have back pain as well and mine is from ovarian remnant syndrome and adhesions.

Re: severe back pain??

Re: severe back pain??

Ovarian Remnant Syndrome is when an ovary is removed and grows back. I had my right ovary removed 10/08 - I found out about three months ago that this ovary actually regrew. This does happen to some - apparently if even one little cell is left behind it can regenerate. Mine is the size of a normal ovary so it grew back entirely. I am also riddled with adhesions (this is the reason why there was something left behind in the first place) My dr removed the ovary but had alot of trouble getting through the adhesions and missed something. My adhesions are so dense that they couldn't even see my left ovary when they went in to remove the right. Adhesions can and do grow back. Adhesions are scar tissue from surgery/illness/etc..... Having surgery to correct them can also cause them.

Re: severe back pain??

I"m no doctor but I would guess the back pain is most likely due to your endo returning. I'm having the same problem right now. I had a hyster only 8 months ago and the pain is returning along with IBS flaring up and my lower back pain is back, it was radiating down my left leg last night so I don't think it's just mere coincidence.

Good luck with your situation, I hope you have a good doctor that can help you out, I'm seeing mine on thursday, he has no idea yet the pain has returned so soon.

Re: severe back pain??

i too have IBS! and it flares up along with the back pain. i think the back pain is from endo to,bc it only lasts for about 3-5 days then it's gone??.. DH said if it was 'back problems' it last's longer than that?? it's weird it came out of nowhere and now it seems to be a huge problem!
now that summer is over and my children are back in school,i can now make a appt. and see what i should do..thanks and good luck to you to!
