TAH: Surgery Date Changed, Ugh!!

Hello Ladies, I found out today that my surgery has been resheduled for September 4th. Insurance has to have 30 days notice before the procedure. I would have thought that the lady that handles this would have known already. Now I have 2 more weeks of worrying and being nervous to contend with. On the bright side, it gives me more time to get my house thoroughly cleaned. Thanks everyone for listening to me rant.

Glad you found the bright side on this...I know it has to be frustrating. If you run out of things to clean while you wait, I could use some help with hubby's fish tank.

In February, my doctor and I decided to go with the hysterectomy, because I wasn't happy with the other alternatives. My original surgery date was scheduled for May 15th (I was waiting on news of a new job and I wanted my bowling league to be over). My doctor's office had to cancel the may 15th surgery date to June 12th. Then, my June 12th date was canceled (for good reasons) to June 19th. I can tell you now that the wait was worth it, because I really have happy I had my surgery and I really feel great! I wish you the best surgery and the best recovery.

I'm sorry that you have to deal with the frustration of a postponment. Maybe as well as cleaning etc, you can use a little of the extra time to treat yourself to a little pre-pampering. Do something nice for yourself - even if it's just nice long soothing soaks in a tub
