Pinkish discharge???

Hi girls,

I am 5.2 weeks post-op. Haven't had any of that weird smell I heard about or seen any stitches but today saw a little pinkish/brownish (very light) discharge when I went pee. (I've been looking for those **** stitches when I wipe! lol)

I am a worrier...so anybody out there know what the deal is? I don't think I have been overly active or anything...???

Re: Pinkish discharge???

I'm only 4.2 weeks post-op, but I've had light spotting the whole time. My doc said it could last several weeks but as long as it isn't red and isn't more than spotting it should be ok.

I have seen stitches - they freaked me out! The first time I thought it was a bug, lol.

Re: Pinkish discharge???

Hi...I had a LAVH on 7/20 and didn't have any spotting for the first three weeks...then had "pinkish" spotting for a whole week...Dr. said it was normal, and just like "violinstephanie" mentions, Dr. told me it could last weeks (which luckily didn't) and as long as it wasn't bright red, it was fine...so don't worry

Wish you both a speedy recovery.

Re: Pinkish discharge???

I had surgery in Feb 09. I spotted with a pinkish discharge for almost 6 weeks.. I was VERY frustrated... and concerned. DR. assured me VERY normal. Try not to worry. Just watch for bright red spotting, smell or pain. It sounds normal. Praying you are doing better.

Re: Pinkish discharge???

Thanks so much for the prayers and reassurance! It helps LOTS. Thank God for all my Hystersisters. And hey, where are those stitches if they're not coming out anyway? LOL.

Violinstephanie, your last line cracked me (and my husband) up! LOL.

Thanks again and hugs to all
