"Chocolate" ovarian tumor?

Just a question, my doctor said I had a "chocolate" tumor on an ovary too. Do you know what that means or what it is?

Re: "Chocolate" ovarian tumor?

This is what I had. It is a type of endometrioma that bleeds on a consitant basis and therefore has dried blood in it that resembles chocolate. When I googled it I came up with a video where the surgeon poked it and it bleed all over like chocolate syrup. I'm glad it's gone!
