my story

i hope i've put this in the right place.
my story begins in 1985 i had been having my periods for 2 years with no trouble at all...but then at the ripe old age of 15 i got myself pregnant.my mom was also pregnant we were due 2 days apart. through out my entire pregnancy i cried almost daily that i hurt and no one believed me. i was told everything from you play you pay to just deal with it its normal. my mom and even said "no one runs to me everytime i get a pain and was very frustrated with me. jump ahead 1 year still in pain daily a doc a a county hospital said i had a cyst the size of a grapefruit on my ovary(the culprit of my pain) surgery was done no mention of anything else except he did say he was amazed that i carried my baby with out being in severe pain daily(tried to tell em).again with the pain...now i'm told this is just something i'd have to live with some women have very bad cramps before their cycle...cramps huh i felt like some one was ripping my insides out every month and my bleeding would last any where from 3 days to 3 weeks jump 5yrs...remember hurting all the while...the birth of my last child i had four...the pain is now a constant every day terror for me but i learned to live with it but begged for a hyst everytime i saw the gyn...with the same answer we've all heard your to young...now lets jump to present day keeping in mind that i was in pain daily but excruciating pain at the time of my periods which are coming every two weeks i quit going to the docs some time ago didn't like being told i was embleshing on the pain it was just in my head all of these things even that after having children painful periods are normal...but 3months ago the pain became unbearable(i developed a high tolerance for pain even had my children natrural because after all my pain that was easy)went to the ER several times with only pain killers given and advice to see a gyn...seen gyns only to hear the same old story(i give up the pain is going to drive me crazy..how long does it take i wondered)finally i was referred to this gyn ready to hear the same thing i reluctantly went low and behold he didn't try to convince me my pain wasn't real...he did a series of tests including a lap and found that i am so coverd by endo and probably have adno an enlarged uterus cysts to many to count that my surgery will probably take hours to do but i'm sure ready to be outta pain even though i'm terrified by the thought of surgery.i'm sorry to be so long but i thank you for allowing me to tell this because it has been very good for me to put this into words...hurray I'M NOT CRAZY! THIS IS REAL. and in 6 days my healing from this long nightmare will begin. and ladies who read this don't do like me and believe its all in your head push and don't let up til you have positive prof

my story

I think you have had more than your share, and will be so happy for you when it is over. Just be sooo excited about all the great things that will happen in this new life you will have.!!! Dont feel bad about the terror with the surgery plans, we all have it. I am really afraid also, but in a little way, I just can hardly wait to see how my life will be ...more positive, more active, pain free, a whole new me!! We have a right to be afraid, I have not heard one person say, however, they regretted it. After what you said about your daily life, recovery should be .....just dandy.
