Advise needed ASAP!!!!!!

Tomarrow would be my 5 month anniversary of my TAH. Have had NO complications other than the usual hormonal stuff, swelly belly, etc. Just a few minutes ago I went to the ladies room and there was blood on the tissue! Not dark, like old blood but frank red blood. Not a lot but of course I'm at work and wearing white pants. This scares the crap outta me . Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else this far out? Thanks ladies, I really could use your help

Re: Advise needed ASAP!!!!!!

Hi there,

Something similar happened to me at 10 months and I was told that I can expect a slight amount of bleeding from time to time. I called my doc at the time to make sure I was ok and they advised me that unless it was heavy, it is likely just more of the healing process.

Try to remain calm. Figures this happens at work after you give away all your pads!!

Re: Advise needed ASAP!!!!!!

(((Wanda))) I was told that any bright red bleeding after a couple of months post op needs to be reported. Call your DR's office and see if they need to see you to check it out.

Let us know what you find out, OK?

Re: Advise needed ASAP!!!!!!

Hi, it seems like there are many reasons why you may have some bleeding. It will be up to the doctor to figure that out. Give them a call in the morning unless it is continuing and heavy or pain ect. Good luck

Hi wanda I can imagine your shock. Just when you think it is over and its back. Im not sure if you kept your cervix But I was told this could happen from time to time because I kept my cervix .But It would not hurt to put a call to your Dr. Please keep us posted.

Re: Advise needed ASAP!!!!!!

Thanks a lot ladies for your replies. The bleeding is more like spotting, really. Had to go buy some blasted panty liners - thought I was done with that nonsence! I did call and he said that it is normal. We talked for quite a while and he said that as long as I have no cramping (I don't) or increase in abdominal size or increase in amount of bleeding to just give it a couple of days. If the problem still exists tomarrow he wants to check me. Of course I have to check for fever, etc. If that happen I am to go to the ER where he practices. I feel much better now, I'm sure it's nothing and I simply overreacted. Thanks so much for your replies and concern.

Re: Advise needed ASAP!!!!!!

How are you today kottonkitty? Don't feel like you overreacted, better to react than ignore a problem. Denial can lead to big issues!
Hope you're feeling good.
