surgery was 8/31 TVH w/post repair. achy in my pelvis area

I will be posting more this week but for noqw.......
I am 30yr old 4 children ages 2 months old013 yrs (3 boys 1 girl she is 2 montha)
After 3rd child my uterus started prolapse. I got pregnant 6 moths later and in june had her. now my vajayjay was more RELAXED i could have intercourse orgasm and clitoral orgasm
So my rectole was causing probs. I opted for the tvh i was scared about my cervix and intercourse but after reading this website i dont think it will be an issue.
CAN I TAKE A SLEEPING PILL WITH LORTAB ANYONE KNOW????
I STAYED UP AUG 30 TIL 245 HAD TO BE AT HOSPITAL BY 545 that was fun lol. after i got there (surgery at 715) things flew by, my pastor, aunt uncle and hubby were all there cracking me up. i got to talk to anestsiologist (sp) for 15 minutes I got to explain my fear of smoking and after effect when waking up coughing. dying i asked him to make sure he watched me the entire time in case i quit breathing. my family was cracking up. he was awesome. last thing i remember he said here is oxygen breath deep then i was in pain waking up in recovery and acting weird/a little crazy.

this has definately been the site to come to after i knew my surgery was 8/31.
We as women are usually so close to our momies and it helps to find support with others who have gone though the same. I am hurting quite a it. my doc had said i would feel like i had a baby or episiotomy stich but i must say its a little worse. apparently while i was in recovery i woke up saying my vajayjay hurt, apparently the nurses and my doc had a fun time with that. my hubby came back to see me and said it was like i had multiple personalities because of the way i acted and talked. i woke up during my breast implants once they were sewing me. that was in the doc office and he doesnt use the strong stuff like the hospital. apparently i woke up sooner than i should have today because when I woke up i felt the pain and they had not given me the demoral in my iv yet. my poor hubby i was asking for then when he got there he tried to hold my hand and hug and I said "dont touch me my vajay jay hurts i want meds!" the nurse said she had just given me the meds I said "I DONT CARE I NEED MORE" once the anetsia wore off and i had pain pill I slept 3 hours and woke up woozy, slurred speach then peed (thats still an issue I sit and a little will come out but they said it will be like that because of the cathadar (sp) but once i peed those barely little streams I CAME HOME to my own bed! Now I cant sleep and my docs office i just called and they said i should not mix vicodin with sleep meds i may be staring at the tv or computer lol. i love all our sisters on here THANKS to all the princesses!

TVH was 715am home by 1pm today can i take lortab and sleeping pill restoril

I am asking becasue my docs nurse on call wasnt very helpful. i cannot sleep and hydro isnt taking all pain away. i have a script for restoril/tamezpam and am taking the hydro 10/500 (generic lortab i think?) I just came home today 8/31 at 1pm was home (surgery 715) (TVH w posterior repair) and cannot sleep. have any of you taken a sleeping pill like restoril/tamezepam, OR trazodone while on hydrocodone?

Re: TVH was 715am home by 1pm today can i take lortab and sleeping pill restoril

The CNS and respiratory depressant effects of hydrocodone and restoril are additive, according to two drug interaction checkers I used. I would not take restoril with the pain meds unless your DR counsels you to. Same deal with trazodone, unfortunately.

You might try some Ovaltine, or a turkey sandwich... both have been known to help with sleep, although unfortunately insomnia is a common feature of early recovery from this surgery.
