Laparoscopy after lsh

Hi sisters,

Its been a while since I last posted. I have a laparoscopy scheduled on 9/2 for pain that I have had on my right side since my LSH on 3/19. It was intermittant at first but now it is constant. My dr. seems to think that maybe some adhering has happened. I'm very nervous and scared but also know that I can't keep living in pain. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Thanks for listening

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems and facing further surgery. Will you let us know how it goes? I hope you're feeling better very soon.

Re: Laparoscopy after lsh

hi jennifer.. i just had this same surgery 8/3/09 and i was scared as well..i had no problems the second day i was off my pain pills...the surgery is easy an in 7 days my doctor said i can do whatever..i was back to exercising..i had alot of gas from them blowing air in my stomach to enlarge it to cut my uterus but the was it..so dont be afraid its the easy procedure for this type of surgery..the only thing at first which will fade shortly is the tightinng in your stomach...

lilkeedy32,

Why was yours done? It is good to hear that it is a quick recovery.
I know something is causing this pain, just worried about what will be found. Thanks for your responses...

Re: Laparoscopy after lsh

I also only had my uterus removed. Very nervous about more surgery. It seems like my body has changed so much since the LSH and not for the better. It seems like it has been one problem after another.

I sure hope that its normal because I still have those symptoms as well. I agree that sex feels different, but still works! Good luck to you and I will post tomorrow to let everyone know how it went.
