TVH 9-23 aftermath fears set in for us Fibromites

Hi Ladies

Now that my TVH date is set (18 days) I'm temporarily (I hope) a nervous ninny, as mom would say.

I'm 50, DC raised, DH for 12 yrs.
I have Uterine Prolapse, Adenomyosis (which is why my Ablation didn't work), Rectocele (though I've elected not to have it repaired for fear of painful sex), cranky Bladder w/ slight Cystocele. So for the last few years my insides have been caving in. Last month I decided enough is enough... my U has really dropped especially when on my period (the last one lasted for 4 weeks) and only being able to use pads during a very hot spell...I'm done!

I've done allot of research before seeing Gyn. concluding TVH is right choice. Gyn agreed-finding out about my Adeno. confirms that.

My FEARS? 1 having my legs up so long could really exasperate my chronic hip & low back pain 2 I've read how some have lost clitoris & swelling sensation for climaxes is #2 a rarity?

The suggestions for us Fibromites sound very wise, I'm giving copies to my surgery team. Not having these in 2000 it took me 1.5 Y to recover. Any ideas appreciated!
