Progesterone Cream

I know that this may be a silly question, but I have looked on here and found tons of info on Progesterone Cream. However, what I wanted to know was where abouts do you apply the cream? Sorry if that is really stupid. Also, how will this benefit me after having a hyst? I have ready somethings to where it helps with the before surgery stuff, but not much on what all it will do after the surgery.
I hope that someone can help me with this. Thanks so much!

Progesterone Cream

Ann,
All of us are different, but I currently apply to my inner thigh. At one time I applied to my upper arms but I think my skin was too thin there and I was getting too fast of an absorption.

Progesterone can help balance out the estrogen. Progesterone is also a natural direutic and can help with some of the water retention that estrogen can cause.

There are two great articles about the benefits of progesterone post-hyst www.hormonejungle.com/progesterone.php and www.hormonejungle.com/progest.php

Progesterone Cream

Ann,
I have heard that you should alternate areas for best absorbtion. When you use it over and over on the same spots the receptors don't work as well...at least that is the story I got from my doctor.
I woud just make sure not to put it on exposed areas so that you keep your cream to yourself.

Progesterone Cream

Becky,

I'm so glad you mentioned that. I have two lap dogs that are always kissing (licking) me. I never thought about that.

Thanks,

Katie

Progesterone Cream

Katie,
Awhile back(years) I remember reading an article where a Mom had contaminated her baby during diaper changes etc because of the creams...I am not sure what hormone it was but got to thinking if it can affect us so much what would it do to someone who did not need the hormone.
Love,
Becky in OHIO

Progesterone Cream

Good reminder about being carefull with effecting others,
I use it on my inner thighs and ankles lower legs and I use estrogel on my arms and tommy. I also like to rotate it for the same reason as Becky who has so much insite with all of this as so meny others here. Thanks to all.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone that has responded to this. I think I have a good idea where to apply it. I still am looking at how this would or wouldn't benefit me right now. I might just call the doctor and see if this is something that I need. I have read lots of ads posted here about it and what it does, which I understand, just not sure if it is something I need. Thanks again and if anyone can add to this please do so!!
