emotional wreck
I am hoping someone out there can give me some words of wisdom! I had a LSH with removal of both ovaries 3 weeks ago and I have been taking Estrdiol 2 mg pills. Most days I am okay, but some, like today, I feel like an emotional wreck. I feel so sad...about nothing in particular and can't stop crying. I also take tyroid meds. Can anyone out there tell me if this is normal?

Re: emotional wreck
It is normal to feel like an emotional wreck three weeks after having major surgery. Please give yourself time, and do things that feel restorative and nice for you. If you can walk, take some walks. It is a good time of year to be outside. Get some air, get some exercise (gentle exercise), do something you like (manicure, movie, etc), this is very early in your recovery and it is totally normal to have fluccuating moods and to not be able to make sense of any of it. Normal. Be patient with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Mindy

Re: emotional wreck
You will have good emotional days and bad for a while. Good news is, the good start to get more frequent than the bad over time.

Re: emotional wreck
I too have been like that and my surgery was 2 weeks ago today. Especially the few days after. I was so irritable and sad. I think everything that you go through after a hyster, it's only normal to feel that way.

Re: emotional wreck
I can cry just reading your post! Me too...part is I'm a little aggravated with teens at home and dh not doing what he said he would do. He is very considerate and really great caregiver I just think with me being out of his "hair"
and not able to boss him around he's having a grand ole time ruling the downstairs part of house and is forgetting to check on me! That got straightened quickly however
I couldn't talk without crying! He felt bad...I noticed when I lay too much and think I get on a 'funk"? So I get up walk around upstairs look into teens rooms to see how messy they've gotten (which then saddens me
more!) so what to do? Nothing because
"this too shall pass" if not right now...eventually...we will get through it!
