Unhappy - Getting started - BHRT Getting started - BHRT

Hi all. 4 years since surgery. Black Cohosh no longer works. What little sleep I get is interrupted when I wake up in a pool (literally) of sweat followed by shivering chills. All night, every night now for several months. Mood swings are handled with Maca (food product in Peru, no side effects after 3 years) but these hot flashes have got to go. Have decided to try bioidenticals but am having a hard time finding a doc/pharmacy. Found some on the internet but am leery since most offer botox etc... Live in MD and would appreciate any assistance!

Re: Getting started - BHRT

You can get bioidenticals through your gyn or family doctor. I use the vivelle dot patch which one can get a prescription filled at any pharmacy. The bioidenticals come in patches , pill, gels, creams.
