If your hysterectomy was between Sep 21-Sep 27,2009 this is the place to post your progress during your hysterectomy recovery.

We hope you are recovering with plenty of rest and a bit of walking.

Hi everyone!! I had a TVH yesterday, 9/21. I came home at 10am this morning. I am in MAJOR pain. Been peeing like crazy and walking. I'm ready to feel better. I'll update more later.

I started taking some advil and that has made a huge difference in my pain. I can't believe the doctor didn't prescribe it for me. I feel like a whole new person after taking it.

My LAVH was Monday, 9/21 and I came home last night. They sent me home with Percoset and a strong ibuprofen, along with colcase. I have pain, but don't feel as badly as I expected to feel post-up. Dizzy this morning, but have been up and around more than I was at the hospital. My doctor is really great.

I have felt okay today. I finally had a BM. That was really hard to come by but when I did I felt much better. I also finally got a bath today. Made a big difference. Ready for bed.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

8 hours post op SAH..It definatelty is NOT as bad as my fears..LOL. 6 pain level. Have low back pain but incison is not too bad. And suprisingly , I'm starving!

i made it through.. justwanted to let u know..im at the hospital and in pain..so ill keep u all posted sppn

I ended up having to go to my regular doctor this morning. I thought I had strep but they said it was only an ear infection, sinus infection, and thrush. It sure is painful. My hubby is gone to get my meds. I didn't think I could be any more miserable.

Hi ladies... I was supposed to have a LAVH on Mon Sept 21... my Dr ended up having to convert to an open procedure so I ended up having an abdominal hysterectomy but kept my cervix and ovaries... I just got home today as I had some issues that delayed their ability to keep my pain at a manageable level... am still in a lot of pain but it does seem to get a little better each day!

Hey Lilbit..we r both 09/23 Princesses..how r u doing now? I am 27 hours post op and feel MUCH better than 8 hours post op..I took over 100 steps today (yipee). Hang in there sisters..
