pain 4 weeks after...

Hi, I'm new here. After 2 years of endometriosis and pain from ovarian cysts, had my hysterectomy (lap, everything taken out) on August 26th, lots of ups and downs. Some days I feel like i'm getting better, then the next day I am in lots of pain. The doctor said it was normal and I was healing. Yesterday and today I am in excruciating pain, low in pelvis and on right side (where the worst of the endometriosis was pre-surgery). Sitting up hurts, standing for too long hurts, the only thing that feels better is laying on my left side and I can't do that all day and night just waiting for this pain to go away. The doctor's solution is Vicodin but I can't just lay in bed all drugged up and nauseous for who knows how long. 1. Should I be worried about this latest flare-up of pain? I was just at the doctor on Monday and I'm beginning to feel ridiculous for going there and having her tell me the same thing (it's normal, it's healing) 2. Is this ever going to get better? I know it is but right now it seems like it's dragging on forever. At this point I can't even go for walks because the pain is so bad. The pain is also making the hot flashes worse which is an extra bonus I guess. I don't mind the hot flashes by themselves but they're not helping in this situation.

Re: pain 4 weeks after...

Sorry don't have any answers for you. But welcome! I'm sure you'll find a lot of info here.
It is quite early after your op and you are seeing your Dr so that's good.
Keep resting and looking after yourself.Try to be patient, you will get better.
Have you done some searches here? You might try that and see how other sisters in similar situations get on.
If you feel very bad, you should speak to your Dr or at least the nurse.
It might help to keep notes about the pain, when it happens etc and then you may have a clearer picture.

All the best, peace and hugs.
