almost 3 wks Post TVH- Menstrual Cramps???

I had my TVH on September 10th. My last Period was September 4th ended like September 7th/8th, was short but heavy.

Just today, right on time.. I swear I have the exact same menstrual cramping and PMS pain I always had.
Lower back pain, bloating, twinges and pokes..

ODD! It's not in my head. I am in Pain. Reaching for the Motrin soon.
Not post surgical pain.. It is the cramps haunting me.
Is this normal?
Can this be Phantom Pain ? Like for people who loose limbs?

Funny you would say "phantom pain"

I had my 1st post -op today, and just yesterday I had tenderness and cramping as if I were starting my period.

My Dr mentioned "Phantom pain" as possible cause. She said to remember in the healing process your nerve endings are searching for what was there before and not there now....just like someone who has lost a limb.

I suppose it is just part of the strange healing process we are experiencing.

Even though loosing any part of your body and phantom pain is NOT funny.
I did not think that it was possible.
Now I know, It is probably Phantom Pain.

the pain is nothing like the pain on my hips, sides, pelvic area or at the vaginal cuff...

It is! Menstrual cramping..

It very well could be or gas pains. They reminded me very much of menstrual cramps and I had them for a very long time (off and on).

I have found myself experiencing some pain with ovulation that I found surprising. I think I've read that bc pills actually keep you from ovulating since they trick your body into thinking it's pregnant. I had taken the pills for over 18 years so I was quite taken aback by the pain in my ovaries!

It's not nearly as painful as actual menstrual cramps, but it scared me at first because I thought I was having surgical pain. So glad to have kept my ovaries - I'll accept the pain that comes with that gladly!

nope..what u are experiencing is like when u have yr period.if u still have yr ovaries like me. i had pms like if i was going to start..pinching in left ovary.its weird huh? one thing that i have is insominia.its driving me crazy...how about u? private me if u like
