Has anyone switched from the Vivelle Dot?

[b]I hope I am posting th in the proper place. I am desperate for some advice and insight that anyone may be able to offer. I currently am quite pleased with my Vivelle Dots. But, now my husband has taken a pay cut in order to stay employed. For now. It isn't looking good and he may lose his job. I have to ask my doctor to give me something different that is generic--and more affordable. I hate to have to switch from my Vivelle Dots since they work so well for me. But, i am forced to do so. I cannot use the Climara patch--as it didn't work for me.

Has anyone switched from the Vivelle Dot to another form of estrogen that has a generic, that is affordable? Did it work out okay for you?

Also, I have another question, if I may. I have been on the forums here doing research for hours today. I can't remember where I saw this post--but it mentioned belly fat and upper arm sagging. I am an intense athlete. I work out with weights, etc. I am not over weight. In fact, my family tells me I need to put on some weight. But, I have lately noticed that my upper arms are sagging. I do pushups daily. I also work my biceps and triceps. I just do not understand the sagging skin especially on my right arm. Does anyone know if this is hormone related--and if so, what is my body lacking? Do I need to add progesterone cream or testosterone? I am so totally lost and confused--and frightened at the moment. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!~Marilyn
