Re: Post op dry hair

I spoke with my hairdresser before surgery and she advised me to take Biotin after surgery...she said the anesthesia can affect hair for up to 6 months after surgery, even causing hair to fall out and then for a period of time!
She has been hairdresser for over 20 years and hasn't been wrong before! I started immediately following my surgery 3 weeks ago...

Re: Post op dry hair

Yes...I too have had dry, straw-like hair post-op. My solution was what my grandmother and mother used: VO5 Hair dressing. I use it after shampooing, and prior to styling with the flat iron. It is also great between shampoos, when my hair gets dried out from hair spray, heat styling, etc. Don't use but just a small amount...a little goes a long way!

Hope it helps!
