Re: Sudden dark dark brown discharge
Allie,
Call your doctor! Those are two symptoms my doctor gave me that should prompt a phone call! There should be someone on-call and you would probably feel better if you talked to the doctor anyway. Good luck, I hope it is nothing!

Re: Sudden dark dark brown discharge
well I spent until after I wrote this till 9am this morning at the hospital. I had an internal, GAH!!!!! They checked out the cuff incision and that was where the brown was coming from but said it had no sleep or sign of infection. The pain did get better over time, they said my incision looks great and they cant feel anything at all to be worried over. White cell count was fine. They cath'ed me to get a clean urine sample and it was fine. The only thing that scared me bad was my bloodwork showed my platelets went from 200 and something last week to 500 this week. I freaked. Apparently it is a reactive thing caused by surgery but I was sooo worried about it meaning my chance of getting a clot was higher. Did anyone else have or notice their platelet count almost 2 weeks post op. My anxiety is still over the top even though the surgeon was really happy with how I am healing etc. I never expected it to be this scary afterwards, I had zero sleep being there all night so I am in my bed today.

Re: Sudden dark dark brown discharge
Thank God it was nothing! I was so worried about you last night! Try and get some rest. Hopefully, once you have rested, your anxiety will go down. Was the surgeon worried about your platelet count? If not, then don't stress.
