Climara vs. Vivelle?

Hi everyone! I hope you are all recovering well-hopefully with no complications!

I'd like to hear from those of you who are either of Climara or Vivelle, or hopefully have tried both...

I had my complete hyst. 3 months ago, and have been on Climara Patch .05 as of two weeks after my surgery. It has worked great-except for the fact that I "always" have trouble keeping it on! ...I make sure my skin is completely dry, etc...I have read, it is not good to cover it with anything either...

My Dr. is suggesting we switch to Vivelle Dot...

Has anyone had any of these experiences?

Thanks

Re: Climara vs. Vivelle?

I have used both; I started out on Climara, and switched to Vivelle-dot after one month. I've been on the "dot" ever since, for over seven years.

Climara is larger, does not stick as well (for me, at least) and didn't last the entire week. The Vivelle-dot is smaller, sticks better, and is changed twice a week and, for me, lasts the entire 3.5 days.

Your DR should have free sample packs of the Vivelle-dot so you can try it before committing to a month's prescription.

I hope this helps!

s,
-Linda
