Fibroids, complex ovarian mass, and reasurrance

ok well, I have waayyy to much time on my hands...
I am unemployed, and waiting to start job hunting until I have surgery, so with that being said...
I was supposed to have had surgery on 10/5, got cancelled due to a fever, rescheduled for 11/9. I am thinking that I have had to much time to read, research, and second guess my decision to have this surgery.

A little history...
I have had problems with irregular, heavy bleeding, ovarian cysts, since before 2006, during that lap I was diagnosed with fibroids. My left ovary/tube were adhesed, and was taken due to a septated complex cyst, in 2006.

Recently, I was diagnosed with another cyst, (the u/s report dated 6/12/09 said "thick walled cystic mass with scattered low level echos"), I went for a second opinion, not for the cyst, but for continued bleeding problems on 8/10/09.

The new dr was surprised that the first dr, did not address this mass. New dr ordered a CA125, which thankfully came back ok. I had another u/s on 8/31/09, it said " 1. Enlarged fibroid uterus, with increase in the size of the largest fibroid in the fundus since 2008 exam. 2. Small mildly complicated right ovarian follicle with a somewhat thick irregular wall.

At any rate I just keep thinking, and driving myself & my DH CrAzY I need reasurrance. Thanks for listening and sorry for the long post.

Hi Stacy!

Your issues sound very similar to mine. Everything went "textbook perfect" for me with my surgery and I hope you have the same positive results and experience a healthy life for years and years to come.

Re: Fibroids, complex ovarian mass, and reasurrance

Hi! I know what you mean about having too much time on your hands. Sometimes we just think too much! But, the flip-side is that we have time to plan and pray before surgery.

So glad to hear your CA125 came back OK. Whew!

I am 10 weeks post-op and promise you that I feel better than ever! No more bleeding, pain, exhaustion, etc. It's such a relief to have all of that behind me.

Best wishes to you in your recovery! Keep us posted on your progress.

Bizet Women, and Peppermintpeggy,

Thanks ladies for your words of encouragement they mean so much to me, I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy lives to offer me support. I have a supportive DH,(who I may be driving crazy) however no one else that I can really express my feelings to (I am an emotional person.) I have been praying alot, it has helped a great deal too.

All of this extra time is making me crazy. I am glad I have you sisters to help me through this. Thanks so much, I wish I could give you hugs, so here they are: "HUGS,HUGS, HUGS"
