Re: Started(.)

Based on what my own doc has shared and that of other posters on this site, my advice is you have nothing to worry about it! They'll go in and take care of you at surgery time.

Celebrate that it is the last one to cause you pain ; )

Re: Started(.)

My doctor told me that it would make no difference if I was on my period for my surgery. He just smiled and said it was all coming out and I wouldn't have to worry about it again. Just tell the staff you are on a pad when you check in and they should let you stay on the pad with some disposable underwear so you don't have to be embarassed.

Re: Started(.)

hey I dont know the reason for your hysterectomy but I do know you can have your period and surgery. If you have endo it actually is one of the few documented ways to research why we experience retrograde menstration. So you will actually be helping out scientifically! Dont know if that helped....sorry!

Re: Started(.)

Yep, from what my Doc said, not an issue. You may go in having your period and come out never having one again.
