simple cystometrics

I am having a simple cystometrics done next week. Has anyone had this procedure? I read about a simple catheter, but every time I had one it has been painful to have it inserted. This is the only part of the procedure that is making me nervous.

Did you know there are several sizes of catheters? You can ask in the future to see if your urologist (URO) or urogynecologist (UroGYN) can use a smaller one on you to see if that helps. The same goes for IV's, by the way. I've asked for and have them use the smaller sizes on me before. It truly DOES help.

They can also make sure to have them lubricated properly which is also VERY helpful. Hope it all went well....
