Post-coital bleeding 8 yrs after SA hysterectomy?

Quick run down: After normal pap, a year later had biopsies and diagnosed with HSIL CIN2 and Cryo done to remove it in 1991. Was diagnosed with multipul complex ovarian cysts and endometrial hyperplasia after saline uterine sonogram found a 5cm dense mass in uterus at 24 yrs old. Hystoscopy followed with biopsies (benign). Endometrial Ablation/looking for endometriosis followed due to heavy, irregular, and painful bleeding (BC, and Provera did not help). No Endo found. Ablation failed, and CAT/MRI followed with a diagnosis of Adenomyosis. SA hysterectomy followed (kept cervix, and left ovary), bladder suspension-I was 26 at the time. A year later- multipul complex masses found on left remaining ovary (over all size of ovary was 7.6 cm). Removed and biopsied ovary-benign for cancer/ they were hemaphoric, bleeding cysts. Been on Femring 0.05mgday (estrogen only) for almost 8 yrs now...no problems. Two years ago started having post-coital bleeding, heavy discharge that smells bad....doc found what she feels is Cervical Ectropion. She said it bleeds easily when she touched it with cotton swab. She did full cultures to make sure there wasn't any type of infections going on too. All cultures negative. Treated me anyway with antibiotics. Last year at annual pap...she found the Ectropion had not resolved itself, and infact had gotten larger. She also felt it looked to may even have "Uterine Remnant", (whatever that is)as well. I questioned her why after so many years on the same low dosage of estrogen would I now develope Ectropion. She didn't know. She wants me to do another cryosurgery, but informed me it would probably come back. I have also developed lower pelvic pain over the last 7 months since my annual with her. It feels the same as when I had adenomyosis before the hysterecomy. I worry and wish now I would have had my cervix out like the doctor wanted to do. With my history of HSIL CIN2, I wonder if it's only ectropion. She has not done a colposcopy because she said my smear came back normal. She said to either have the cryosurgery, or watch and wait to see if it regresses on its own. She won't take me off the Estrogen because of my age, and says I need it. Has anyone else developed Ectropion after SAH, or heard of Uterine Remnant? I wonder if I should get another opinion....it's now been 2 years since the diagnosis, and it hasn't gotten better...but worse. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Eurika,
There are women here who are dealing with CIN2 and I hope one will come along and possible provide some advice given your current situation.
Re getting another opinion, I think that never can hurt. You might even consider a consult with a gyn/onc given your concern re CIN 2.
I hope you get some answers soon so you can get better peace of mind.
