Ovaries removed

Hello Girls - I had a LAVH in 2006 however they left my ovaries and cervix in as apparently I was too young (36) to have the ovaries removed and my cervix unfortunately was stuck to the wall of the bowel therefore made it dangerous to try to get it out without risk of perforating the bowel.

Well, bleeding and pain still continued for the last three years and the original gynaecologist said it had to be cervix that was the villian. After he did a laproscopy in June, he said my case was too complicated and I was sent to an gyn/oncologist at a well renowned hospital 3 hours from home. On October 22, (2 weeks ago) I had both ovaries removed there. However they could not get the cervix due to the endometriosis and scaring attaching it to the bowel. They said the bowel was healthy therefore did not want to cut it. I was honkerblonked when I heard they couldn't take it all out...I am waiting on the pathology reports on the ovaries to see if there were notable malignacies on them.
So I have a huge vertical cut down my abmomen and it is very sore but I am moving around. Unfortunately, I had to go on estrogen right away (while in the hospital) as I am now officially in menopause. Other than the horrible night sweats I don't feel much different. But I am very scared about my cervix still being in there and wondering if the bleeding will return. After 3 surgeries I am praying I don't need to walk down the feminine hygiene isle again in the grocery store.
Anyways, that is my story - I hope all of you have found answers, and good care with your ovarian issues. So far so good - I feel better without them

Take care
J
