7 weeks post op and still spotting?

I was 7 weeks yesterday from my LAVH. I had a hematoma where the inside of me didn't get cauterized like it was suppose to so I bled bad for 4 1/2 weeks, stopped bleeding for about 1/2 week and now been seeing spotting since now for about 2 weeks. Is this normal???? Its driving me crazy. I feel fine. But I'm sick of blood!!!!!

Re: 7 weeks post op and still spotting?

Hi (((MG82)))

I understand your frustration. Spotting for weeks after surgery can become tiresome. Mine was from my stitches dissolving rather than from a hematoma, so I can't speak to that issue. I have read a number of posts by women whose hematomas took a number of months to finally go away though, so I believe this is not particularly unusual. Have you addressed this concern with your doctor? Perhaps they will want to examine you again to assess where you are at in the healing process. Hope it passes very soon!
