Two weeks Post-Op. Big bulge in vaginal wall that wasn't before surgery.

I am very upset that I have a protussion or bulge in my vaginal wall that was not there before my hysterectomy I it is on the side of my rectum, I had a tah/bso/burch on September 5 2001, sorry, I should be greatful and not upset. I don't know what else to say, I am on a emotional roller coaster. I am greatful for this site.

Hi Wer2many, it's ok to come here to vent and let out your emotions. We all need that sometimes.

I'm sorry you're having this problem, but please call your Dr. Having a new "bulge" doesn't sound quite right to me, so you need to let your Dr. know right away.

Sending some 's! Let us know what your Dr. says, ok?

Dear Wer2many...I was wondering if you have any discomfort from this ? I too have noticed since my TAH and burch procedure,I have less space inside my vagina and think it is from the rectum prolapsing in ,I have no symptoms with it ,SO FAR , Im 4 months post op.I will make sure that I try to keep from getting consipated ,for life!!! ... You are still in an early stage of recovery and it could just be swelling !!! Goodluck and takecare debbiep

Thank you Systers for your kindness and understanding.

TinaW, Debbie:
Thank you so much for replying to my post. Yes I talked to myand he said I have to wait until I heal so he can take a look in there and see what is the next step to take. But what it feels and looks like is what Debbie mentioned, because I almost don't have any space in my vagina, and I am very constipated. The way I found out is when I was taking a shower I wanted to check out if my blader was still protuding out ( it was resuspended very nicely) and that is when I noticed the protusion for what I have been reading in the message boards here it sounds like it could be something called a rectocele, I hope it is not that because I do not want to have any more surgeries. I thank you all sisters for being there for me and for one another
